A commission for an ayame (iris) flower piece similar to my earlier Burnished Copper piece, with some artistic changes to suit the originality and aesthetics of the new design. This ornate and eye-catching kanzashi piece features beautiful gold and chocolate brown brocade fabrics, embroidered with decorative gold thread (fabric provided by commissioner). Multilayered petals, two trailing shidare falls, and three brilliant gold gems in the center finish the elegant and lavish look. Mounted on an alligator clip for easy wear.
Note: I apologize for the quality of the photo - at the time this was taken, I did not have access to my usual camera or equipment. All the more's the shame, as the photo unfortunately does not sufficiently capture the embroidery on the fabric!
Hahaha I always try to find specific things to point out because I feel so bad when my entire comment is just "Pretty!" or something to that effect. This piece really did turn out wonderfully, though! You should definitely consider doing similar ones in the future!
